New Shroud© DVD Packaging
Sandmerrick, Inc. will be designing new packaging for Jetrefilm Entertaiment's western thriller Shroud for its Christmas 2011 release. Distributed by Sovereign Distribution, Shroud was written and directed by David Jetre and stars Nicole Leigh, G. Russell Reynolds, Dylan Barth, Charles Baker, Jodie Moore, Donnie Blanz, Chad Briley and Morgana Shaw.

Sandmerrick Creative Director David Jetre recently contributed to Jon Keeyes' feature length film Phobia written by Anne Gibson. Set in the late 19th century, the film returns to the Victorian fixation of death, undeath and vampirism.

Hot on our heels will be Jetrefilm Entertainment's new 2012 business collateral as well. This will be Jetrefilm's fifth print run for business cards, letterhead and envelopes since the company's inception in 2001.

We will be showcasing our new 2012 business collateral shortly. This will be our first print run for the new brand so we are looking forward to seeing how everything turns out ourselves. We will be printing offset with a 2/c (reflex blue + black) color palette.
Our Sandmerrick Studio Begins Graphic Novel
Our designers as well as some contractors are beginning to layout a graphic novel taken from a novella from an unpublished author. The exact details are sort of hush-hush, but the story is set in the future and revolves around an alien queen that is accidentally transported to Earth. As storyboards and layouts become official, we will be publishing a sketchbook of the project
Sandmerrick Designs Fantasy Font for Upcoming
eBook (2012)
The designers at Sandmerrick have begun designing an ancient language for an upcoming fantasy novel to be published on the Kindle and iPad. The language is loosely based on Anglo-Saxon but will represent much bolder glyphs. A sample of this new exotic language will be made available in galleries upon publication.

Sandmerrick Inc. Brands Ares Forge
Ares Forge (© 2011 David Jetre – WGA Registration Pending) is an unpublished science-fiction screenplay I wrote after having a strange dream. The film is a bold study of militant transhumanism as explored and confronted on a lost world six hundred years in the future.
Like many unfamiliar names, Ares Forge does not easily lend itself to a clear icon. In such cases type treatments better serve the branding and introduce the viewer to the brand with clarity. I chose the font Vandiana Patin Lite Regular, originally at 25-point with a tracking of 210. I really like the curved backs of the “Es” and “Fs” as well as on the front bridge of the “G.” For purposes of this gallery, the font is simply reversed in white.

Ninesabers Logo for Shroud
For Shroud, Sandmerrick, Inc. branded the imaginary European adventurers guild, The Ninesabers Authority. Focusing on Ninesabers to the exclusion of Authority, the icon for the guild was a simple yet stylish intersection of the numeral 9 with an old world dagger.The font Crusades provided both of these typographic elements within its family, and we simply formed a ligature to achieve the required old world logo. The logo is regularly 2/c (PMS 485 Red + PMS Black) but for purposes of this gallery it is shown as 1/c white (reversed).

Designs for Jetrefilm's Second Film Underway
Jetrefilm Entertainment and Studio 930 have begun designing and developing online assets for Jetrefilm's second hi-definition feature, the action-adventure film Damascus. Elements will include websites, e-blasts, photography and preliminary marketing materials for 2009.
The director confides that "Damascus is a surreal work like Shroud and crosses several expectations, genres and demographics. Set a few years into the ruin of civilization, the film is a "ground-breaking reinvention" of ancient truths and new discoveries. The film is deeply efficient, richly philosophical, regally dramatic, and steeped in eclectic non-stop action."

Jetrefilm Entertainment is a full-service film production company dedicated to creating highly imaginative, dramatically compelling and marketable films through sheer excellence of storytelling, entrepreneurial spirit and bold technological innovation.
Presently, we have submitted our first feature film Shroud to the AFI Dallas 2009 Film Festival for consideration, and are presently preparing the film for distribution. We have received a wave of praise for our first film and very promising interest from distributors and buyers.
Moving forward, we are in pre-production on our second film, the science-fiction film Damascus scheduled for release in late 2009. Our success to date has been sudden and spectacular and we owe it our very talented crew and the great actors we were able to secure for our first film.
